#CES2010: Steve Ballmer Made a Funny in His Keynote, and Only Steven Hodson Noticed

It’s actually pretty funny:

I have to be honest I didn’t see it at first either and it took a post by Steve Clayton to point out what is a very sly jab at Apple.

Here take a closer look.

Here’s the closer look. It’s actually pretty amusing, I just couldn’t hear the joke over the loudness of Steve Ballmer’s sweater.

This is one of the more poignant parts of the keynote, and it was unfortunate that it got buried in the middle where no one would notice it.  The point? That there exist economical and cool slates or tablet PCs, some of which have been around for a year or more, running a Microsoft operating system and doing everything a Kindle and a mythical Apple tablet could do for half the price.

That’s all kinds of funny.
