Endgame Systems Launches ipTrust, Lands $29M Funding Round

Endgame Systems, the anti-malware and botnets in cloud computing software provider, launches ipTrust, the first product meant to detect and manage the harm caused by malware and botnets in cloud computing environments, as well as to speed up response times after detection of threats. A great advantage of this premier product if the fact that it does not require additional software or hardware upgrade.

Today, the company also announced funding organic and inorganic growth, the whole sum coming to about $29 million from Bessemer Ventures, Columbia Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), and TechOperators.

The introduction of ipTrust is of major importance to the cloud computing industry, given the fact that over 250 million IP addresses have been infected with malware threats of various kinds, most of them with the purpose of accessing private data, thus such practices being improved every day.

Security for the cloud is certainly gaining attention, as more data and processes need to be secured on varied levels.  The automation of these systems is a huge driving factor for running in an effecient manner, and Endgame’s funding is a reminder of that trend.
