HyperBees sales up, Thanks to OpenFeint’s Cross Platform Launch

A few days back we heard about the growing figures of Openfeint on Android platform. It had started with fewer games in the first batch and then launched a bigger second batch. Now, the third wave of titles is all set to hit the Android market. Some of the notable titles of this batch include Prism 3D, Cows Can’t Fly, Abduction!, Pocket Racing and Chopper Control.

Luckily, HyperBees the Android app publishers, have also experienced an increase in sales, thanks to OpenFeint’s cross-platform launch.

“We expected there to be some uptick in sales when we re-launched Speedx 3D with OpenFeint, but the end results was truly amazing,” said co-founder Tom Mleko. “Following the update, we recorded a 39 percent increase in Speedx 3D sales and a 9 percent increase in sales across other titles.OpenFeint has been a great partner for Android and we look forward to what they have in store for the future”, he added.

As OpenFeint is gearing up for their 3rd wave of game releases on Android, it’s offering a rapid release schedule. This is in part due to funding from companies like Intel.

In fact, OpenFeint will launch its updated 1.1 version soon so as to incorporate Facebook Connect with Android platform. With the launch of this version, more and more players are expected to discover the OpenFeint gaming network in the near future.

The good news is that mobile gaming  seems to be encouraging for other game platforms and tablet devices, as Gameloft plans to launch several titles on the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
