EMC Documentum Reaches Cloud 9 with VMware Ready Status
EMC Documentum has reached yet another cornerstone in their organization by being the first enterprise within the content management business to achieve the VMware Ready Status. But what is the significance of this status? This is actually an indication that EMC has passed a thorough assessment and testing process managed by VMware. Along with this, they are now listed on the VMware Partner Product Catalog.![]()
In an interview following the announcement of this another achievement, Jeetu Patel, Chief Technology Officer of Information Intelligence Group, a division of EMC noted:
“EMC is proud to be one of the first vendor to offer enterprise content management solutions optimized for VMware vSphere." He also added, "Achieving VMware Ready status is an important step in delivering on our product strategy for the cloud. Organizations can have confidence in deploying Documentum-based applications in virtual environments to minimize costs as well as enhance high availability and scalability.”
EMC has made several efforts and strides to carve its market niche, and had great things to say during its 3rd quarter earnings report as stated in an earlier article. In the same report, the organization has attained successes by being present and leading solutions provider for network storage, data recovery and information management. Profits of EMC have jumped to an incredible 58% increase.
Additionally, we see that several companies have already partnered and are showing great interests in partnering with VMware for product support. The recent business that teamed up with VMware was VCE Vblock Solutions. This move was made as a part of EMC & VMware’s joint coalition towards building cloud solutions.
