Fusion-io Innovates Cloud Management with ioSphere

The first software management platform for server-attached storage class memory was recently launched by Fusion-io’s Osphere Platform. The novelties that the release brings are the automated caching software, live monitoring and reporting features, all of these traits enabling a more easy management over the remote environments.

Neil Carson, CTO at Fusion-io commented “ioSphere’s management capabilities demonstrate how well our software layer complements our hardware, giving our customers visibility into expanding deployments of flash memory in today’s data centers.”

Moreover, ioSphere Platform innovated the industry with offering a bundle of smart technologies: the friendly interface that centralizes and manages VSL, the additional modules (ioDirector – performs the management of the flash device  or DirectCache – runs by placing the caching software in the server, aiming this way to lower cache latency) and real-time tracking options.  See here for more details. #memeconnect #fio

The company is working to improve the innovation in the field, employing developed technologies and deploying single interfaced solutions for third-party developers. The ioSphere’s developer assignee mentioned that “This announcement demonstrates our continued commitment to delivering innovations that solve the challenges of ever-growing data and increasingly demanding applications.”

They had several product launches recently, including the announcement of Technology Alliance Program. The mentioned program is designed to improve the enterprise software, but Fusion-io is also concerned in end-user comprehensive solutions too.

The prominent development of Fusion-io asks for resources, which were met by the opening of a new sales office in UK. The company is trustful to give a helping hand by reducing the costs of managing 10 servers, instead of consolidating the administration in just one system solution provided by Fusion-io.

oSphere becomes a single interface for third-party developers and strategic partners currently developing solutions based on the Fusion’s Virtual Storage Layer (VSL). Third-party developers can now take advantage of the new architectural benefits inherent in storage-class memory deployed as a new memory tier in servers.
