HP Shows Handsome Rise : Q4 Earnings Report
Today Hewlett-Packard released its fourth quarter earnings reports showing a handsome rise of $2.5 billion, or an 8% increase from last year’s Q4, bringing in a total of $33.3 billion in net revenue. HP’s 2010 net revenue was $126.0 billion, as this figure had risen by 10% compared to last year.
“Fourth quarter revenue was up 10% in the Americas to $15.1 billion. Revenue was up 6% in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and up 8% in Asia Pacific to $12.4 billion and $5.8 billion, respectively…Revenue from outside of the United States in the fourth quarter accounted for 64% of total HP revenue, with revenue in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) increasing 12% while accounting for 10% of total HP revenue.”
HP’s revenue seems to have risen from almost every aspect, as on top of geographic stats, services revenue was up by %0.4, enterprise storage and servers’ revenue by 25%, software by 1.0% and more.
In addition, the company’s stocks are also on the rise as we mentioned here, in anticipation of today’s successful earnings call. According to sources at Marketing Intelligence Center, Hewlett-Packard’s stocks have risen fifty cents due to speculations that the company’s legal battle with Oracle over SAP and increasing Ireland taxes may lead it to change its investments in the UK.
