iPhone Users Bring More Profit than Android Users
With Apple and Google seeking more ways to get money from app users, it’s clear that the mobile app marketplace is a promising road to big profits. According to a recently published infographic, iPhone users are more profitable than Android holders; at least in the app advertising space. The infographic reveals that the average Android user delivers $1.9 worth of app ad revenue a month in the gaming space, compared to the iPhone’s average of $4. Moreover, Android users’ average $4.9/month in the entertainment apps sector compared to the iPhone’s $6.7, which also tops the utility apps list with $9.5 a month;, or about $2.3 more than the average Android phone holder.
The app industry has been busy lately, in MWC too. IBM and the Wholesale Applications Community announced a partnership to develop a cloud-based “white label” mobile app store, and the launch of the all new MapQuest app for Android.
