Tablets have been really picking up in the office latlely, and the growing number of tablet business apps emerging almost daily is a very good indicator of that. And, now we’re taking a look into SiliconANGLE’s app picks of the week.

Wrike for iPad

Wrike for iPad is a free, quite handy tasks management app – and the first one to be featured in this week’s list. A streamlined dashboard comes alongside a number of features, including the ability to categorize tasks, filter them and so on.

Numbers for iPad

Dubbed the most powerful spreadsheet application made for the Mac, the iPad version of Numbers has been overhauled, and offers quite a bit of some very useful features. These include syncing with roughly a dozen platforms and web services, AirPrint support, quick data entry, the ability to add photos and hundreds of other functions.

Dragon Dictation for iPad

Dragon Dictations for iPad is a voice recognition app which transcribers speech into text and e-mail messages. Moreover, it allows users to directly dictate tweets and Facebook messages, compose notes and reminders and easily switch between voice and typing.

Webroot Mobile Security for Android

Webroot Mobile Security for Android is subscription-based security apps which protects one device against malware, insecure apps, and dangerous websites. The app also allows users to block unwanted callers, automatically checks phone settings for any vulnerabilities and remotely lock and locate the position of their missing Android.

Google Apps Device Policy for Android (latest version)

Google announced it a blog post just a few days ago that it has released the latest version of the Google Apps Device Policy app for Android. Google announced 3 updates, and among them is the ability into encrypt data on Honeycomb tablets. Google Apps administrators have an option in the control panel to “Encrypt Data on Device”, which now includes storage encryption.
