Travel, Mobile Office Lead Business Tablet Apps for iPad, Android

The iTunes App Store and the Android Marketplace are flooded with a constant stream of apps from developers, and as the industry evolves, this trend is becoming more and more evident by the day. It’s also expanding into new territories with the introduction of new devices, and the tablet-abundant office is one of them. We’ve rounded-up five of the most significant apps leading this trend in this week’s list:

iPad

KAYAK HD

KAYAK HD is the first app on our list, with travel planning and exploration features aiding mobile workers on-the-go. The streamlined app does a good job delivering what it offers – a simple and straight-forward interface that lets users to plan their trip using search functionalities, including the new Explore feature.

Time Master

Time Master is a time-keeping app that allows a user to measure time for individual projects, browse through logs using a number of filters and bill client. In addition to these main features, the app comes with some extras such as full backup and restore, the ability to import IIF files and more.

Note Taker HD

As the name implies, Note Taker HD is an iPad note-taking app. It comes with a sleek UI and very good reviews, given that it includes the ability to write either using one’s finger or the iPad keyboard; integration with several personal cloud service and a great deal of resources available for diagram creation and other actions.

Android

Power.ME

Power.Me is a rounded-out Android tablet app suite that aims to offer just about everything a buisness professional needs on his or her device. That includes the Power.ME and Power.ME HD productivity and collaboration services  as well as the  Power.ME Backup and Synchronization Service.

File Manger HD

The Honeycomb-optimized version of File Manger offers everything one can expect from this category: 3 sets of commercial icons for more than 60 file types, compress and decompress support, a built in text editor and more.
