Appecelerator: Let the Hackathon Begin, A Race to $10,000
As mobility becomes a significant parcel of the human race’s daily professional and personal lives, ocean of opportunities open up across the industry. One of which is mobile apps development, which has kicked off strong and is now luring businesses into the $6.8 billion market. For this reason, mobile strategies now center on app advancement. Moreover, as mobile users now prefer apps over web browsing, jobs within this sector grows at a record pace, according to a recent employment report.
Today, Appcelerator brings forth a competition that hopes to discover fresh talent in the mobile applications development arena through the CODESTRONG 2011 conference.
Appcelerator CTO and co-founder, Nolan Wright provided details on what developers should expect in this Hackathon:
“The beauty of Titanium is that developers can leverage a host of modules, extensions and native capabilities to create incredibly innovative apps in a very short period of time. We are excited to showcase the latest and greatest in mobile development at CODESTRONG. We have a great line-up of judges from PayPal, Salesforce.com, Sierra and Storm Ventures, VentureBeat, and Appcelerator, and we expect to be blown away by our developers’ ingenuity.”
