OpenStack Testing Gets Automated with Ubuntu

The Canonical Platform Server team has developed a solution for testing OpenStack on Ubuntu.

The JavaCruft blog goes into deep detail about the setup.

The scope of the work:

  1. Per-commit testing of OpenStack trunk to evaluate the current state of the upstream codebase in-conjunction with the current packaging in Ubuntu precise and the current Juju charms to deploy Openstack.
  2. SRU testing for OpenStack Diablo on Ubuntu 11.10.

For example, the post goes into detail how they reduced the time to re-provision a node from about 30 minutes t0 10 or 15.
