Five Instagram Tools to Share, Measure and Store Your Photo Masterpieces

There’s no doubt Instagram is a phenomenon in the social mobile world, not to mention the world of photography.  With more than 7 million downloads on iOS, 150 million photos published every month and 30 million+ registered users, Instagram is possibly consider the best photo-sharing app on Apple app store. Instagram for Android, which was released yesterday, already suppressed more than one million downloads.

While there’s millions of people happy to partake in the burgeoning Instagram culture, developers have been busy creating integrated tools for the popular app to extend its features. There are dozens of alternatives to choose from, but here’s our top picks:

Webstagram

If we want to find photos that contain a particular hash tag, then go for Webstagram. This photo viewer allows you to see your feed in either a grid or list format. Webstagram also helps you to find photos, sort, tag, follow and comment on other people’s photos.

Statigram

If you use Instagram to share your pictures via an iPhone, you will probably need a tool that lets you see your statistics on this site. With Statigram, you will see all your statistics of your activity from Instagram, including the number of photos shared, who’s following you and your photos’ distribution.  You’ll also see stats like which photos garnered the most comments, which days of the week tend to be your most active and who’s sharing your snapshots.

My Gram

My Gram from Social-print.appspot.com is a powerful tool that transforms your Instagram image into a PDF file. You can also create an online presentation for sharing pictures with your family and friends.  There’s additional options for photos, such as PDF collages and canvas prints.

Postagram

Postagram allows you to turn your Instagram photos into postcards from your iPhone, iPod touch or Android phone, and have them sent anywhere in the world. The app is free to download, but the cost to send each postcard is $0.99. You can instantly print and ship your Instagram, Facebook and device photos with Postagram.

Parallel-ogram

Be sure to backup those Instagram snapshots.  Parallel-ogram is a simple web application developed by Aaron Straup Cope to create an archive of your Instagram photos forever.  Parallel-ogram uses the Instagram API as a single-sign-on (SSO) method to login to Instagram to monitor all of your activity on the site.  The app uses Instagram filters to organize and archive your photos, creating a personal stream for your pictures.
