FalconStor Wraps US Partner Program Rollout with ANZ Launch

Just over a year after rolling out its three-tiered PartnerChoice channel program in the US, data protection firm provider FalconStor is launching the initiative for the Australia New Zealand region. ANZ is the last location on the company’s channel roadmap.

“FalconStor employs a 100 percent channel business model, and we believe the PartnerChoice program will increase channel sales and ensure the profitability of our channel partners in ANZ,” said Suresh Nair, general manager and vice president of sales and marketing for FalconStor APAC.”

FalconStor is offering all the standard incentives. Partners in Australia and New Zealand are given access to a number of different resources including training and tech support, deal registration, sales incentives and marketing assistance among other things. FalconStor also operates a web portal that provides members of its ecosystem with documentation and other info relevant to their business.

FalconStor knows partners that can offer value to customers that use its products. The company kept its commitment to the partner channel with the recent announcement of RecoverTrac 2.5, the latest release of the backup and recovery software.

The upgraded solution offers better performance than its predecessor, as might be expected, in addition to a number of new features. FalconStor stepped up VMware integration with support for  vSphere 5, Hyper-V and clustering. On top of that, v2.5 also make it possible to recover multiple virtual machines at the time, an improvement that can translate into a big reduction in the time it takes to get things up and running again.

While FalconStor’s business is not growing as rapidly as some other vendors in the storage space, its disk-based backup is very widely used. Enterprises are starting to make more use of their data, and protecting it is becoming more important as a result.
