No shave November, or Movember, has almost reached its end and. So we’ll do a little roundup on how people celebrated this very cool month.  And if you didn’t get to participate in this year’s no shave month, there are a lot of ideas here that you can bookmark for next year.

To kick things off, here’s a nifty infographic about Movember.  It answers questions as to how Movember got started, what’s it for, and the various kinds of moustaches a participant can sport.

Some men cannot grow a proper moustache but that doesn’t mean they can’t participate in Movember.  Mo Bros can either stick to the ones they have, even if it’s thin, or they can use a Beard Tonic, which works well for giving men full moustaches and hydrated, healthy skin.  But for those who, for the love of god, cannot grow even a single line of hair on their upper lip, they can support Movember by using Fingerstache to make it seem like they have a moustache.  Or just wear any accessories that have a moustache on it to show support such as a ring, a scarf, shirt or cufflinks.  Better yet, just wear a fake moustache by drawing it on, or buying those adhesive ‘staches that simply stick onto your face.

As for the women, or Mo Sisters, they can show their support for Mo Bros by helping their male counterparts trim the ‘stache, or by wearing accessories to show their support.  There are shirts, necklaces, earrings, rings, nail art, hair clips, bracelets, and many other girly items that still show support for this awareness-raising month.

And if you have a tyke that you want to dress up as a little Mo Bro or Mo Sister, you can try clothing the little one in a onesie, and let ‘em suck on a moustachifier.

But the ultimate goal of Movember is to help raise awareness for prostate cancer and get some funds for charities.  So if you want something better than just wearing accessories, how about throwing a fundraiser of your own? Of course, the theme will be all about moustaches.  So you can serve moustache cookies, cupcakes, serve drinks with moustache straws, or in a mo shot glass. If there’s beer drinkers at your party, you can put some moustache rings around the neck of the bottle.

If you want a more intimate get together, you can have friends over for coffee and serve the hot beverage on a moustache cup and serve them crustaches to snack on.  If you do manage to raise some funds for your Movember party, make sure you give that to a charity or an organization that raises prostate cancer awareness – because that’s what Movember is all about.
