Rent-A-Center Saves Millions with Coupa & IBM Smarter Commerce Cloud Procurement
Rent-A-Center Inc. the largest rent-to-own operator in the United States, is saving millions by optimizing and centralizing its purchasing in the Cloud using Coupa Software and IBM Smarter Commerce. With approximately 4,000 locations and 20,000 employees, Rent-A-Center was burdened with a de-centralized, manual purchasing process with low employee adoption. Supplier on-boarding was extremely time consuming and complicated. To fix this process, in 2010 Rent-A-Center turned to IBM Smarter Commerce and Coupa to automate how it sources for 90 categories of indirect spend, consolidate its supply base, and decrease the number of invoices by 5 percent. As a result it is currently saving on average 10 percent on the categories it has automated. More
