A sticky takeover for Post-it Notes with new iOS app
Post-it notes have seemingly mastered the analog world, and now they’re after your virtual domains. Announced on September 25th, the new Post-it Plus App from 3M Co. lets you digitize your traditional Post-it notes.
With the Post-it Plus App you can capture as many as 50 Post-it Notes at the same time and store them digitally. All the captured digital notes are kept separate, moveable and can easily be arranged in a grid fashion or other formations. This makes it quick and simple to create a flexible representation of ideas. The Post-it Plus App allows for collaboration via sharable boards and exports records to popular software programs like PowerPoint, Excel, Dropbox, PDF and more.
Right now the app supports all square Post-it Notes, from 3” x 3” Post-it Super Sticky Notes to Post-it Big Pads with additional sizes coming soon.
“Post-it Notes continue to be the go-to tool for capturing thoughts and ideas in the analog world. As technology continues to permeate every aspect of our lives, the ability to instantly capture Post-it Notes with the Post-it Plus App means that collaboration leaders can have the same simple, intuitive Post-it Note experience, and now share those ideas with others in the digital world.”, said Paul Kim, vice president and general manager, stationery and office supplies, 3M.
Evernote has a similar offering for Moleskin notebooks. For Evernote lovers, the Post-it Plus App can be connected to your Evernote account to save and share your boards in an existing notebook. For more information, visit Post-it.com/app.
