Big data could unleash $12 trillion in market value | #HadoopHudson
It’s not about the speeds and feeds anymore, said Chris Selland, VP of Business Development for HP Vertica, talking about adding business value up the stack. In a live interview with theCUBE at the recently concluded Hadoop on the Hudson Party, Selland explained that businesses should “Get past the technology” as his team looks to show users how to use new technology to move business forward.
There are plenty of great developments happening with Big Data, but it is all about the value. Selland’s company is working on unlocking Big Data and using it intelligently, to take part in the market’s potential value of $12 trillion.
