Apple CEO Tim Cook Announces iWatch

At the September launch, Apple Inc’s CEO Tim Cook hinted at a launch date of “early 2015”. More reports then emerged that the Watch would be available in time for Valentine’s Day. However due to engineering difficulties the launch was delayed to later in the year. Now new reports have surfaced that the Apple Watch will launch in the spring.

In a report obtained by 9To5Mac, it states that Angela Ahrendts, Apple Senior Vice President of Retail and Online Stores, announced the spring launch in a video message to retail partners.

Ahrendts stated, “So, again, we do – you guys were hired because you’re the best people in the world. And you know how to service customers, but we are sprinting a marathon and it’s not going to stop. Right? We’re going into the holidays, we’ll go into Chinese New Year, and then we’ve got a new watch launch coming in the spring”.

Meanwhile, French Apple website iGen.fr, who have been reliable in the past with their dimensions of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, have reported [Google Translate] expected pricing for the Apple Watch. According to them the stainless steel version may start at $500, while the gold version will range between $4000 and $5000.

Spring is a long way off, so expect to see many more rumors surface between now and then.
