We held a crowd sourced conversation with a company called Ironkey which provides any enterprise or government looking to secure their data. According to Marina Donovan, IronKey offers the most secure flash drives and Windows To Go drives on the market.
“Security is like locking your home – often you increase your home security when you buy something new or have a child and enterprise security is similar – you put in place the best you can afford based on the risks you identify” says Leon Brown the cohost of the chat.
Having secure storage is important for businesses and their drives are manageable so if they get lost or stolen Ironkey can remote wipe or disable the device.
As the #RSA15 show approaches companies will be having conversations about how to make people and devices be secure. Security is tricky – SaaS just means your doing some part of your work via a cloud. Any time you move content to a local device – a laptop, Workspace, USB device – you have to be wary of how data might leak if a device is lost.
