3 Apple Watch apps to help you navigate a busy city
Navigation apps can be a blessing when you do not know how to get somewhere. They are also handy when you are waiting for the arrival of your bus, subway or bike-share or you have misplaced your car. Now, thanks to Apple’s new wearable, it’s no longer necessary to pull out your iPhone to see what time your bus is arriving, you can simply look at your Apple Watch.
These three Apple Watch apps will ensure you are always in control when it comes to navigating through cities across the world, know where you are and where you are going, and locate your car easily – all from your wrist.
Citymapper
Never miss public transport again. With Citymapper, you can easily navigate home, to work or to nearby locations directly from your wrist. The app not only lets you track when your chosen method of public transport is set to arrive, but will also notify you of your approaching stop with a tap on the wrist. Currently, the app provides public transport information for New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington DC, Toronto, Sao Paulo, Singapore, and more.
Transit App
The Apple Watch Transit app will allow you to view arrival times for various modes of transport including the bus, the subway, a bike-share, Uber, car2go, and more. The app also has directions for transit routes close to you. Transit works in 75 U.S. and Canadian metropolitan areas and cities around the world, including London and Paris.
Car Location Finder
Most likely, almost everyone has experienced the misfortune of misplacing their car in a busy parking garage. The Car Location Finder ensures that you never have to go through this again, and now it is more efficient and is right on your wrist in the form of an Apple Watch app. Park your car, and then tap your location on your watch to make the Car Finder app remember. When you are done shopping and ready to leave, simply open the map and it will show the location of your car.
