MMO lovers’ Steam Summer Sale Guide 2015

If you’re a fan of the massively multiplayer online (MMO) game genre then look no further for a glance at the Steam Summer Sale values available to you. The Steam Summer Sale ends June 22, 2015 so be sure to grab these deals while they’re still hot!

Funcom’s The Secret World is a buy-to-play MMO that puts players into an interesting Mythos-filled world similar to our own where supernatural organizations duke it out. The Steam sale has reduced the box price of TSW by a solid 50% to a mere $14.99—and the Ultimate Edition has been reduced 30% to $41.99.

Rift: The Planes of Telara, Trion World’s premier MMO that went free-to-play after having a paid subscription, has had certain special editions cut by 50% including the Ultimate Nightmare Edition ($74.99), Infusion Edition ($24.99), Dream Soul Pack ($17.49) and the Storm Soul Pack ($12.49.) Each of the Packs include access to special “souls” in the game which provide customization to character classes. Also on the sale block is 75% off other DLC packs including Laethys’ Fortune Pack ($37.99), Glory of the Ascended Pack ($24.99) and the Upgrade Bundle Pack ($14.99).

Daybreak Game Company’s (formerly known as Sony Online Entertainment) DC Universe Online, a third-person free-to-play superhero MMO, has seen some love from the Steam sale as well. A quad of DLC packs get 25% off including the Ultimate Edition ($48.74), Episode Pack I ($11.24), Episode Pack II ($11.24) and the Power Bundle ($22.49.)

CCP’s space warfare sandbox game EVE Online is known far and wide for the drama that happens—now you can have a chance to join in as well with 50% off the Core Starter Pack ($9.99) and the Premium Edition ($24.99.) Get out there and get blown up in honor of the Steam Sale. Of course, if you’ve already bought a starter pack before, you cannot buy it again (even on sale.)

EVE Online

Eve Online looks even better with 50% off Steam starter packs!

City of Steam: Arkadia is a free-to-play MMO and currently Steam is cutting bundles by 50%: each bundle can contain pets, bikes, jetpacks, mercenary cards, mods, jabs (potions), and a portion of subscription time (from 7 to 90 days depending on the bundle). Under the sale, the cheapest Purple Bundle drops to $4.99 and the most expensive Ultra Diamond Bundle comes out to $39.99.

APB: Reloaded is an odd sort of faction-based cops-vs-robbers third-person-shooter, free-to-play MMO and the Steam sale has cut some of its DLC packs by up to 40%. This puts the cheapest Urban Survival Pack at $17.99 and the most expensive Key to the City Pack at $64.99.

Cryptic Studio’s Star Trek Online and Neverwinter both also have some sales going on the Steam floor this Summer Sale. On the Star Trek Online front DLC packages have seen cuts by 20% to 40% including the Delta Rising Operations Pack and Legacy Pack each at 20% off ($119.99 each) and Steam Starter Pack and Romulan Starter Pack each 40% off ($14.99 each.) Neverwinter sales are all over the place ranging from %20 to %50 off. The Steam Starter Kit at %50 off comes to $9.99; with the most expensive Hero of the North pack %20 off at $159.99.

Looks like the Steam gods are smiling on the MMO community this round. If you play an MMO and it’s on Steam, chances are there’s a DLC bundle or pack on sale, so click those links and get some deals.
