OpsDataStore enhances real-time monitoring system

OpsDataStore Inc. has updated its namesake IT service management product with a new version that provides real-time troubleshooting, performance and capacity analytics and customized dashboards.

The company pitches its product as providing IT operational information in whatever business intelligence tool the customer chooses to use. It replaces a patchwork of more than a dozen monitoring tools that many organizations use to peer inside their operational systems to identify slowdowns and bottlenecks.

OpsDataStore says it replaces that mess with a single big-data back end for end-to-end monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization. The software delivers live data for analysis with the most popular business intelligence tools.

New features in OpsDataStore version 1.1 include:

  • A real-time troubleshooting dashboard spanning application performance monitoring tools from AppDynamics Inc., Dynatrace LLC, and ExtraHop Networks Inc. ExtraHop for virtual infrastructure like VMware Inc.’s vSphere;
  • Detailed and continuous metric and analytic rewind and replay for capacity analytics, spanning all data and timelines across and entire VMware environment; and
  • The ability to package any set of IT metrics and application metrics into live custom dashboards built in BI tools like those from Tableau Software Inc.

Navis LLC, a provider of operational technologies, services and support for shipping terminal operators, said OpsDataStore gives it a single, real-time view of its entire IT software factory operations across its global datacenters supporting nearly 200 customers.
