Watch LIVE: Data science and engineering at scale | #SparkSummit

Apache Spark’s rapid adoption by a wide range of enterprises, including Yahoo, Baidu and Tencent, has made it the largest open-source community in Big Data, according to The Apache Software Foundation. It now has more than 1,000 contributors from 250-plus organizations. And this week’s Spark Summit 2016, held at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square, plans to shine a light on data science, developers, enterprise research, use cases and the Spark ecosystem.

With a theme of “data science and engineering at scale” and huge buzz surrounding Spark 2.0, the event will feature keynotes from Matei Zaharia, CTO and cofounder of Databricks; Jeff Dean, senior fellow at Google; Doug Cutting, chief architect at Cloudera and cofounder of Apache Hadoop; Andrew Ng, chief scientist at Baidu; Marvin Theimer, distinguished engineer at Amazon; and Ali Ghodsi, CEO and cofounder of Databricks.

theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, will broadcast live from Spark Summit 2016 from June 7–8. theCUBE hosts John Walls and George Gilbert will talk with industry experts, including:
