Developers are especially hard to come by. So now here comes the news that HP s laying off 27,000 people or 8% of its workforce.
Already, the word is going out that tech companies want to to talk to the HP developers and engineers looking for work now that the company is laying off 27,000 people or 8% of the workforce.

The HP layoffs are a big gain for HP competitors and the overall market. It is terribly hard on the people but the market is in their favor.
It’s also demonstrative of the shift in power over the next few years as new app developers are people laid off from legacy technology companies.
