ProInsights Tops this Week’s Tablet Business Apps
This week Mint updated their app with new features from the site, and a LinkedIn visualization tool for Android called ProInsights made it to a top spot on the list.
iPad
The company behind the popular personal finance service rolled out an upgrade to the iPad client that added a couple of features from the web-based version that users have been asking for. It’s now possible to set up budgets directly via the tablet, and the ability to separate purchases from a single transaction to any number of the categories have been introduced.
Calc XT is a an aesthetic, fully featured scientific calculator for the iPad that has one particular feature that distinguishes it from the more traditional alternatives. There’s a notepad right next to the actual calculators that makes it faster and more convenient to capture one’s thoughts without having to launch a different app.
Tax It does exactly what the title would suggest – it lets you calculate purchases while including tax, discounts and even tips that y add up with a given transaction.
Android
ProInsights is a social graph tool that throws analytics into the mix. Developed specifically for LinkedIn, the app visualizes data associated with one’s profile and network using charts and infographics. ProInsights doesn’t spare the details: a user can view everything from a timeline of their career based on the data they’ve uploaded, to the key markets of the companies your contacts work for.
Bomgar is a well-crafted remote support solution that packs enough features to accommodate two types of users: the corporate technician assisting a worker on the go, or the regular table holder that is merely interested in a functional remote access application that does the job.
