Success Factors Updates BizX Again with New Mobile, UI Elements

Cloud HR firm SuccessFactors has been very busy tweaking its Business Execution suite throughout the past few weeks. Late last month it announced that it’s migrating the lineup to HANA and adding iPad support, among other things, and now the SAP subsidiary is rolling out a few equally substantial improvements to the platform.

One feature they’ve added is called Touchbase, a mobile productivity tool that’s built around the idea of making meetings more straight-forward. The app allows workers to access items and receive notifications from others within the organization, allowing them to prioritize better.

Another addition is a social feature nicknamed Who’s In the Meeting. It allows the user to access to the LinkedIn and employee profiles of the other individuals attending a meeting, giving them a bit more maneuverability with their preparation.

In addition to these two enhancements, a review system is introduced as well as a better way for HR professionals to communicate and share info with each other. The new capability offers a superior means of measuring employee performance.

Last but not least, the interface has been given a facelift, specifically the search component of BizX. The engine now covers all the formal info about a given worker as well as the social media accounts associated with him or her, and covers internal communities and training courses as well.  There’s also a mobile check list, tile-based UI elements similar to Microsoft’s Metro design and more metrics.

“The modern workplace is more dynamic, continuous, and social than in the past,” said Dmitri Krakovsky, vice president, global product management, SuccessFactors.  “As a result, the business systems to support today’s corporate world need to evolve… to run an effective organization, leaders need to drive continuous improvement for their talent.”
