iPhone 5 Looks As Expected: Apple’s Wall of Secrecy Crumbles
Yes, it’s official! Apple revealed the iPhone 5. And must I say, Apple’s wall of secrecy has crumbled. The iPhone 5 looks exactly like the one we saw in leaked photos and videos these past few weeks. It has a 4”-inch screen, making it the biggest iPhone ever, it is thinner because of the in-cell touch panel, it has LTE capabilities, it has the new Maps without any Google influence, it has Passbook – the virtual wallet, iOS 6, an improved camera, and everything else you thought it would be.
You’ll be able to pre-order your device starting on september 14, and the iPhone 5 will officially launch on September 21.
The iPhone 5 is using a new chipset, the A6, just as we mentioned in out rumor roundups. And the 8-pin dock connector is also true. It’s kind of disappointing so far, with no surprises from Apple. But hope is not lost, the event is still going on. Perhaps we’ll see a new capability or service for the iPhone 5, or even an iPad mini.
