MyTab expands travel gift card in the UK ahead of Christmas and holiday season
MyTab, the US travel gift card company, has just launched its UK operation covering England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales. MyTab allows anyone to sign in with Facebook and create a holiday, honeymoon or any other trip plan that friends and family can fund. You can simply then redeem your funds towards travel, all within the website.
Just in time for Christmas and holiday season, UK travelers can now use myTab to gift, save, plan, share and book travels. Users can negotiate exclusive deals with airlines and hotels and instantly gift travel cash to family and friends and also save for individual or group trips. Just this week, Scott Prelewicz, ex-senior engineer at games company Zynga has joined myTab as co-founder.
The founder Heddi Cundle started the company seven years ago to help address price fluctuation pain in travel. Her vision for myTab is to ensure travel dreams come true through inspiration.
The travel gift card company targets wedding, honeymoon registry, philanthropy trips, birthday and celebration gifting and saving for general getaway trips market. Once trips are booked, details can be uploaded to Facebook and Twitter thanking those who contributed. The Match myCash feature negotiates exclusive deals with airlines and hotels so the more myTabbers funding trips, the more crowd funding to a whole new level and happier pre-travel and booking experience for myTabbers.
Social travel is an industry that’s really started to define itself, thanks to deeper integration capabilities with networks, payments and more. With funds gifted and saved in your account, and the social integration experience on myTab makes the travel program much faster and easier. The company has now recently started operating under a new acquired domain mytab.travel.
