Google’s Device Assist helps you get the most out of your Lollipop phone
![]()
Google Inc. has launched a new app that will detect any problems with your smartphone and help first-time users get the most out of their Android phones. Device Assist, will assist in fixing issues with features like the battery, GPS and connectivity. In addition, it will teach you how to optimize your smartphone’s performance, and provide tips on exploring additional features that you may not be aware of. For example, Device Assist will tell you to use a wall charger instead of charging from a USB for faster charging. It will also tell you if the screen’s display brightness is too high and therefore using too much battery.
For users of Google’s flagship phone, the Nexus, there is also the option for live Google support.
Device Assist is available for download for US-based Nexus, Google Play edition and Android One devices running Android 5.0, Lollipop.
