Tim Cook Announcing The Apple Watch NEWS

Take the Apple Watch for a spin with this interactive online demo

Tim Cook Announcing The Apple Watch

With rumors circulating that Apple Inc. will release the Apple Watch at the end of March, you still have a few weeks to wait before you can get your hands on the real deal. However, courtesy of Pipes, the iOS news app, you can have a go on their online, interactive Apple Watch demo.

The demo, which is available at DemoAppleWatch, allows you to try out some of the watch’s features right in your browser, with no download necessary. The demo features a replica of the device’s home screen; however, many of the apps listed are only a static image. Some of the apps are a little more interactive. Click on the Music app to listen to Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars” or look at a few photos on Instagram.  Not surprisingly, the Pipes app is the most interactive and is reportedly the version that will ship with iOS 8.2 when it becomes available. Their app allows you to scroll through a variety of the latest news stories.

To leave a specific app and return to the Home screen, all you have to do is press the Digital Crown located on the right-hand side of the watch.

The demo is a great way for Pipes to attract new customers to their app. Since the demo hasn’t been sanctioned by Apple we aren’t sure how long the site will stay up for, so make sure you have a go at the Apple Watch while you can.
