Fusion-io Launches Alliance Program to Collaborate for Innovation

Fusion-io, a company focused on optimizing the storage technology to match the ever-increasing processing power capabilities of new computers, has announced a new Technology Alliance Program today.  It’s designed to foster and promote innovation in the enterprise software sector.

In this program Fusion-io will partner with other companies to provide the end user a comprehensive solution. The initial focus of Fusion.io’s projects include “Flash-optimized software, [and] a new generation of storage appliances and virtualization solutions” based on Fusion-io’s technology. Furthermore, in the press release, the project management explained the benefits of this program as follows:

“Enterprises around the world are seeking simplified and consolidated solutions that reduce infrastructure and overhead,” said Tyler Smith, Vice President of Alliances for Fusion-io.

“One-stop solutions, like those provided through Fusion’s new Technology Alliance Program, reduce strains on resources, remove risks inherent with managing several partners and reduce expenditures. Working together, we believe we can offer greater value to our customers who are looking to solve the ever increasing data-intensive nature of the contemporary enterprise.”

The need for quick retrieval of data from huge data reservoirs is inevitable for enterprises. This issue can be solved by adopting various methodologies including solutions from application performance tuning to hardware upgrades. Fusion-io’s attempt to reduce the hassles of coordinating and communicating with multiple solution providers, is definitely valuable for enterprises. But still the end product and the value it adds to enterprise will determine the success of this project.  Read more about Fusion.io here, and watch our interview with CEO David Flynn below. #memeconnect #fusionio
