Loot Crate announces new subscription box geared toward gamers

This week at PAX South 2016, popular subscription box service Loot Crate, Inc. has announced a new service geared specifically for gamers called Loot Gaming.

Loot Crate’s standard mystery nerd box has included plenty of video game items in the past, including merchandise for games like The Legend of ZeldaFallout 4, and Pokemon. However, the company says the new service will cater solely to gamers with up to six premium items, as well as download codes for digital games and DLC.

“We know that our audience loves video games, which is exactly why we wanted to offer an experience that extends beyond the joystick, keyboard or controller,” Matthew Arevalo, co-founder of Loot Crate, said in a statement.

“Loot Gaming will give people the chance to own a piece of those gaming universes and join an active community of fans who love those same great franchises. We’re working alongside developers and publishers to create exclusive products for Loot Gaming crates, and they are just as excited as we are to bring these universes and characters into the real world.”

The new service will cost $25 a month (the same price as the standard Loot Crate), and Loot Crate said that the monthly box will contain items worth a total of roughly $60.

While it is not available for purchase yet, you can register on Loot Crate’s website to be notified of when you can sign up for a subscription to Loot Gaming.
