Uber debuts Family Profiles: How to set up and pay for your family’s Uber rides
Uber Technologies Inc. has launched a new feature for its popular ride-sharing app allowing one person to pay for multiple people’s Uber rides. The new feature is called Family Profile and will allow up to 10 people to share one payment method.
While the feature is called Family Profile you are not limited to only adding family members to your profile, but can include friends, coworkers and anyone else who you want to foot the Uber bill for.
At this stage, the feature is only available in three U.S. cities: Atlanta, Dallas, and Phoenix, but we are likely to see more cities enjoying Family Profiles soon.
Here is how you set up your Family Profile if you are the organizer and how you go about using Uber if you are a rider loaded on a Family Profile.
