Yahoo Hiring, and Maybe They Were Serious
Yahoo hiring? Someone has to be joking, right? I saw this tweet within the past hour, and thought, "Yeah, right, hiring or resume collecting?"
Shortly after that, RWW broke the news on a Yahoo challenge to Facebook Connect.
Yahoo! Updates, the company’s answer to Facebook Connect, became available on more than 600,000 websites today with the launch of a new partnership with commenting infrastructure company JS-Kit. Where as Facebook’s technology for tying profiles and activity updates between sites around the web has raised concerns about proprietary control over data, Yahoo! has implemented the open standard OAuth in its system.
With that latest news, it does make me think that Yahoo could be serious and not just collecting resumes. As both stories develop today and later into the week, be sure to connect with us via our comments or by twitter: siliconANGLE, John Furrier, Mark "Rizzn" Hopkins, Rex Dixon.
