Dropbox: Version 1.0 Enhancing the Personal Cloud
Today cloud file management solutions provider Dropbox announced in its blog the launch of Dropbox 1.0. Version 1.0 carries some serious improvements including a 20% reduced download sized for Mac users, extended attribute sync including resource forks as well as thorough bug fixes and more:
“We completely re-architected the client-side sync engine to optimize the response time, scale, and resource consumption…This version reduces memory usage by up to 50%. It’s speedier and more efficient when handling big changes to your Dropbox while ensuring that smaller changes remain quick.”
Improved usability also comes with Dropbox 1.0 as well as selective sync, which enables users to only sync selected files, rather an entire hard drive.
