Lighthouse Security: Quick Connect Tech for IAM Services

SaaS security company Lighthouse Security has enhanced the federated identity and access management within its Lighthouse Gateway cloud-based service. This enhancement, arriving in the form of its new Quick Connect technology is reportedly able to simplify federated user provisioning and single sign on for popular SaaS applications.

“Businesses can now share user credentials with partners such as SalesForce.com, Success Factors, Concur and ADP with just a few mouse clicks. With this ability, users can seamlessly access third-party applications through one identity authentication mechanism.”

Lighthouse’s services provide its clients with a cloud-based alternative to purchasing federation software and build federation for third party providers. The latter is a less cost-efficient solution, which presents prospective Lighthouse clients a more than sufficiently fitting incentive to use the SaaS security company’s IAM-based services.

SaaS product security is a growing and increasingly important trend. We covered here VMware’s 2011 plans for Hypervisor, which include setting-up cloud applications security functions within Hypervisor in order to reduce the margin and potential for human error. VMware also partnered-up with LG, in order to among other strengthen the security of confidential trade information concerning the electronic giant’s enterprise clients.

Akamai is also a part of the cloud computing security trend. The cloud content and media optimizer published a holiday season release covering its system and the attacks it and the company’s retail clients have sustained.
