Bring a little of the Metro UI goodness to your Windows 7 machine

An interesting little addition for your desktop or laptop showed up in a post via WPCentral and if you are a big fan of the Metro UI like I am – this might be right up your alley.

It is a widget collection called Metro Home, which is a special version of HTC Home where the widgets act very much like the Live Tiles you will find in Windows Phone 7.  Currently this widget is made up of  one block of  Live Tiles which includes: Clock, Calendar, an extended set of weather tiles, and a tile for your Picture folder that will rotate through your available images.

As you can see from the screenshots they have done a great job of mimicking what you see when you are using Windows Phone 7. Unfortunately,  the tiles you see in the image are the available right now.

So if you are looking for a little bit of Metro UI sweetness for your desktop and don’t mind the limited number of tiles available that give Metro Home a shot and see if it works for you.
