McAfee Appoints David Small as VP of EMEA
Juniper Networks veteran David Small has been recently appointed as McAfee’s VP of channel and commercial business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa region, or EMEA. Small has experience with channel and sales role for Trinagy, XCel Communications, Anite Networks and Olivetti as well as Juniper Networks, where in turn he managed EMEA channel sales and grew the company’s base for the segment by 200 percent.
“McAfee has a very strong product portfolio and an incredible network of partners and alliances across its business,” said Small. “The company has made great strides and has committed itself to making its channel partners profitable. I’m excited to be a part of the leadership team and look forward to growing its EMEA business.”
In our previous coverages of McAfee, we discussed the security mogul’s 2011 Threat Predictions report. After a great deal of extensive research, the report which is aimed to educate the public about security treats discusses the foreseen increase in security threats for platforms including Android, Google TV and Mac OS X. The report also highlighted the vulnerability of these platforms, as well as highlights on social networking and mobile.
Small will report to another former Juniper executive, Gert-Jan Schenk, president of EMEA for the McAfee. The security company was recently acquired by Intel; read on for a a true clash of the titans tale.
