Emilio Umeoka Joins Juniper Networks as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Partners
Juniper Networks today announced former Microsoft President of Asia Pacific and international leader Emilio Umeoka as new Senior Vice President of Worldwide Partners. He will report to John Morris, Executive Vice President of Field Operations at Juniper Networks. Umeoka’s position will tackle global channel strategy and partner initiatives. This area of development has characterized Juniper Networks differently from other industry players.
“Umeoka’s proven international experience strengthens our executive leadership team and brings tremendous business value and street credibility to Juniper’s global channel organization and the thousands of partners we do business with worldwide,” said Morris. “Under Umeoka’s leadership, we plan to build on the success of our worldwide partner organization and ensure best practices, programs and resources are shared throughout our global Juniper Partner community.”
Umeoka brings in more than 25 years of experience in IT industry. He was born in Brazil and graduated from college with a degree in Engineering at Texas A&M. His professional career started in Africa.
At Microsoft, Umeoka shouldered the Asia Pacific region. He established excellent overall business performance and created one of the top reputations for workplace diversity and satisfaction which has awarded Microsoft several honors. Prior to joining Microsoft, he funded and led a top value added remarketer campaign in Brazil, and served in Latin American executive leadership roles with Compaq and Microsoft.
