New TweetDeck iOS Puts You in Control

Your tool for customizing the way you use social media, TweetDeck just announced that they are releasing a new iOS really soon. This app is targeting iPhone and iPad users and is bound to be more exciting and a cut above the rest.

Today’s TweetDeck blog hinted on details that users should expect of this new iOS: “A major new feature of iOS TweetDeck will be totally flexible columns. You want to create a column blending your Mentions and some Twitter Lists? No problem! Always wanted to see your Facebook feed and Twitter DMs in a single column? We’ve got you covered! New iOS TweetDeck puts you in control of your columns, giving total flexibility over which feeds appear in which columns. Your social world has never been so personal.”

This TweetDeck iOS will vest the power to customize columns on the user, you. However, you may want to see it, it’s your 100% call. If you want for your Tweets, mentions and even Facebook status in one column—this is now possible.

This development was written in the walls of the website following the controversial acquisition of TweetDeck by UberMedia, as the latter receives $17.5 million augmentation in funds. This amount will help replenish UberMedia’s finances since vouching $30 million for TweetDeck purchase. Prior to this, the company already bought UberTwitter and EchoFon, tools for updating Twitter accounts from smartphones including BlackBerry, iPhone and Android devices. Today, they concentrate on Apple devices.

Amidst UberMedia’s popularity and latest shopping spree, Twitter’s been doing a bit of updating of its own.  The microblg banned third party apps for violations of the social network’s terms and conditions. This happened in the middle of all the buzz highlighting Twitter’s  great valuation, which is currently said to be worth $8-$10 billion. Other Twitter apps like Seesmic have been pursuing enhancements to bring in a more personal experience to how people interact with their social media, though they’ve taken a decided turn away from Twitter-specific management services.
