Business Apps for iPad, Android Tablets: QuickOffice Tops This Week’s Best

Tablets are sweeping through the office space at an accelerating rate, but it’s all not all hardware which contributed to the rise of the business tablet.  Apps are another factor to this, and we’ve rounded up this week’s top 5 IOS and Android tablet business apps.

iPad

QuickOffice Connect Mobile Suit (v2.1.0) for iPad

App maker Quickoffice Inc. announced a couple weeks ago the release of Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suit 2.1.0 for the iPad. The latest version brings with it integration with social collaboration providers SlideShare, Scribd and Docstoc as well as Apple’s iOS AirPrint. The cloud-heavy also supports Box.net, Google Docs, Huddle and other services.

Bizmo for iPad

Bizmo is a cloud accounting and billing app for the iPad which offers quite a bit of features. That includes automated invoices, the ability to create expense reports, define projects and more. Getting to the good part, the Bizmo Accounting Cloud offers daily backups, and hosts users’ data in SAS 70 Type II datacenters.

Roambi for iPad

Roambi is a free data visualization app for the iPad. It allows users to convert business reports and data to interactive visualized dashboards, and aims to simplify the analysis of this data for on the go.

Android

Pocket Informant for Android

Pocket Informant for Android is a full-featured calendar and task application for Android tablets, as well as the BB PlayBook and iPad. The app organizes users’ in a set schedule meeting, phone call or appointment, and integrates with Google Calendar as well as Toodledo (and Outlook, for an extra cost.)

Google Analytics Widget for Android

The app is still in beta, but it provides users simple and quick access to their site’s statistics and Google Analytics data. The app may be a little limited, but version 0.75.1 already brings with free access to data no other app delivers.
