Startup Sauna Seeks New Blood in Helsinki

The game is on at the largest and capital city of Finland. Startup Sauna, a program known for tracking potential startups within the Baltic and Nordic region, is bringing its search to Helsinki. Deadline of submission is on April 17th and winners will be awarded with an invitation at the Alto Venture Garage plus € 1,000 cash prize.

The selection process goes like this: “During the Startup Sauna Warmup, teams will meet with the coaches and pitch their idea. The coaches will select the teams that will participate in the Startup Sauna Intense. We are looking for 10 teams from the region. Registration will be opened a a few weeks before the events.”

Startup Sauna is crafted to support startups in pre-seeding to become successful ventures with mentoring from some of the finest experts within the region and the industry. It has invaded key cities within its target brim. It recently touched based with 80 applications in St. Petersburg and Moscow, both renowned metropolitan in Russia.

The very dynamic market of information technology, while restricted with some recent economic twists and recent SEC rules updates, still has an enormous room for growth and startups. In fact, this is highly encouraged. A devotee of this cause, BigApps has recently launched the “BigApps” contest. The winner and the “appiest” of them all is an app for smartphones that provide real-time traffic information. Dyan Goelz of Rodify.com is the genius behind this and will receive $10,000 prize.
