No App Store for Windows 8, it’ll be Just Plain Ol’ Windows Store

In light of the legal wrangling that is going on between Microsoft and Apple over the trademarking of ‘App Store’ one might be lead to believe that the rumors of a Windows App Store were more than just hot air.

It turns out that might just be the case. Reports are coming out today that the app store we will see in Windows 8 will be called Windows Store. According to a post at Winrumors this supposition is being based on a Windows Store service discovered in the latest leaked beta build of Windows 8 (build 7955) by Mswin.

This news comes with a logo for the service which you can see in this post. Additionally it is rumored that applications from the Windows Store will sync across any Windows Live linked PCs which will users to roam their apps and settings across multiple laptops and desktops.
