Rackspace Cloud 2.0 Tops Business Tablet Apps of the Week

The tablet ecosystem is expanding further and further into the office, and as the audience grows, the number of tablet apps for business users follows. This week we’ve rounded up five more iPad and Android Honeycomb business apps that are often a must-have for some users, starting with Rackspace Cloud 2.0.

iPad

Rackspace Cloud 2.0

The latest version of the app adds even more features to the mobile version of the cloud remote administration panel. Users can use the app to access their deployments and file, change settings, wipe data after 10 failed login attempts, access multiple accounts and more.  That includes the ability to view API limit rates, manage files, etc.

Egnyte Enterprise

Egnyte is a cloud storage service similar to Box.net designed for business users. Users can upload files to Egnyte’s cloud, sync them across the iPhone, Macs and PCs  and manage them from their iPad on-the-go.

BoardVantage Collaborate

The BoardVantage Collaborate app is free to download but requires a subscription, and offers a number of benefits to users. BoardVantage is SAS70 Type II certified, allows one to view and share company files stored in any location from their tablet, create a rounded-out schedule and contact list, and more.

Android

Catch Notes

Catch Notes is a Honeycomb-optimized note taking app which syncs with Catch.com for backup. Users can take pics and videos which can be accessed from Notes’ interface, set reminders, and use a homescreen widget, among other things. Overall, with its streamlined userinterface, Catch Notes has everything it takes to compete with Evernote and Springpad.

Thumb Keyboard

Thumb Keyboard offers a full-featured keyboard replacement to the built-in Android one. The keys may be a little small, but a better interface, layout and the ability to type with both hands more than make up for it.
