Twitter is Full of Dummies

Here’s the summary of the report: Twitter makes you dumb, since it’s an endless stream of information that no one really reads. Keeping up with Friends via Facebook makes you as smart as sudoku.

My Angle: What? Is there any actual testing to back this up? Any data? It seems to me that the researcher has a fundamental misunderstanding of the primary uses of Facebook and Twitter. If engagement and reading is the activity on Facebook that improves memory, Twitter is Facebook on crack: primary activities on the site are reading news links and engaging in conversation.
